摘要
本研究利用眼动追踪的方法,通过比较20名学生译员在译入和译出过程中的瞳孔直径、任务时间、平均注视时间、总注视时间和注视频率,旨在验证以下研究假设:(1)译出的总体认知负荷比译入更高;(2)译入中加工源语篇的认知负荷比译出中加工源语篇的认知负荷更高;(3)译出中加工目标语篇的认知负荷比译入中加工目标语篇的认知负荷更高。研究假设(1)基本得到了验证,研究假设(2)和(3)只有部分变量的数据支持。译入和译出认知负荷的比较还有待更多实证研究进一步探索。
This study compares the cognitive load of 20 student translators in L1 and L2 translation based on their eye-tracking data during translation processes. The following hypotheses are tested:(1) The cognitive load during L2 translation is higher than that during L1 translation.(2) The cognitive load during the Source Text processing in L1 translation is higher than that during the Source Text processing in L2 translation.(3) The cognitive load during the Target Text processing in L2 translation is higher than that during the Target Text processing in L1 translation. The dependent variables are pupil diameter, task length, average fixation duration, total fixation duration, and fixation rate. Hypothesis(1) is confirmed, and Hypotheses(2) and(3) are only partially confirmed by some of the variables. More empirical studies are called for further validation.
