摘要
英语专业学生的学习价值观,可以大致总结为职业取向、工具取向、知识取向三个层次。高职学生的英语学习趋向于职业取向,即以满足职业需求为主要目标;而本科学生的英语学习却带有工具主义的取向,即视英语为满足进一步学习需求、窥探跨文化要义之工具,虽亦有实用主义之功利性,却有直达知识取向之通途;研究生的英语学习则是深入语言本体,其学习的目的在于探究、发现与创造,具有显著的知识取向。三个层次由浅而深,功利色彩渐退,而理想色彩愈浓。立足于高职院校英语专业学生的学习价值观,在教学上应融合三者,即强调以职业取向为基、以工具取向为引、以知识取向为导的英语学习态度与教学导向。
English -major students' learning values can be generally summed up as three levels: occupation orientation, instrument orientation and knowledge orientation. Higher vocational college students' English learning shows an occupation orientation, for which to meet the demand for the future occupation is the main object; and undergraduate students' English learning with instrument orientation, i. e. , to meet the demand for further study and access to the cross - cultural essence, which is somehow utilitarian in terms of being pragmatic but bridges to the knowledge orientation at the same time; postgraduate students' English learning probe into language itself with the aims of exploring, discovering and creating, which then displays an obvious knowledge orientation. These three levels proceed from the elementary to the profound, from the utilitarian to the ideal. On the standpoint of higher vocational the three orientation in our teaching, emphasizing college English majors'learning values, we should combine a kind of learning attitude and teaching direction based on occupation orientation, urged by instrument orientation and guided by knowledge orientation.
