摘要
业余主义是美国大学生体育联合会的根基。对这一根基的深入探析,有助于更好地把握美国大学体育的成功之道,为国内大学体育工作提供参考。借助文献资料法对此进行了追根溯源。结论表明,业余主义源自古希腊雅典城邦全面发展的教育观,经由维多利亚时期英国学者的诠释,进而成为精英教育的核心要求。这一要求为美国的高等教育所继承。为反对大学校际竞技运动的职业化,保证公平竞赛环境,通过针对学生运动员招生标准、学业要求等问题的立法,美国大学生体育联合会坚守业余主义并传承至今。
The amateurism is the fundamental principle theme of NCAA. The in-depth analysis toward this theme is essen- tial to understand the success of American intercollegiate athletic and meaningful for the development of Chinese university sports. Based on literature reviews, the results show that it is a concept initiated by Victorian England scholars from the views of ancient Greek philosophers on comprehensive development education, and facilitated to a central component of elite education. It was inherited by American higher education. The legislation on eligibility and academic progress etc. of student-athlete to resist the professionalization and to maintain the level playing field for intercollegiate athletics are the key approaches for the adherence and sustainability of NCAA amateurism.
