摘要
从批评性话语分析的理论视角出发,以韩礼德(Halliday)系统功能语言学作为分析工具,选用《纽约时报》(New York Times)2016年6月15日刊登的金融新闻"MSCI Delays Adding China Stock to Emerging Markets Benchmark",即MSCI明晟集团宣布延迟将中国A股纳入MSCI新兴市场指数的新闻报道事件作为语篇分析范例,从语篇与语境的关系出发,从三大语言元功能,即概念功能、人际功能和语篇功能三个层面入手,试图从及物性结构、词汇句法选择、语气系统、直接引语等角度分析该报道如何使用语言操纵策略体现其意识形态及其政治经济立场,以期为后续国内读者阅读外媒金融类新闻提供借鉴参考,增强批评性阅读意识。
From the perspective of CDA, adopting system-functional linguistics of Halliday as the theoretical framework to make a case study on a financial new coverage -- ＂MSCI Delays Adding China Stock to Emerging Markets Benchmark＂ published on New York Times on 15^th June, 2016. Start form the relationship between discourse and context, this article focuses on the aspect of three metacunction -- ideational, interpersonal and textual. The author tries to analyze the language manipulation strategies in this news coverage according to the analyzing elements of transitivity, the option of vocabularies ＆ sentences, the mood and the direct speech, etc. Aims to figure out how these language strategies embody the ideology, the economical and political stance of the foreign countries and hoping that such a study could offer some references to the Chinese readers in the following days when reading foreign news, and ultimately strengthen their critical reading capability.
