自由电子激光器的原理与应用 被引量:4

摘要 激光由于它的相干性好、能量高、方向性好等特点在通信、医疗、工业、军事上的应用越来越广泛。激光通常是由激光器产生的。自由电子激光是一种以在周期磁场中作振荡的相对论优质电子束作为工作物质的大功率、可调谐的相干辐射源,它的物理基础是运动的自由电子对电磁波的受激散射。由于电子不像在普通激光器中那样受原子所束缚,电子是"自由"的,故叫自由电子激光。它具有高功率、高效率、波长的大范围调谐和超短脉冲的时间结构等一系列优良特性。
