摘要
图表是一种信息表达和数据分析的常用模式,其主要目的是去繁就简,一目了然。图表的"自明性"和"自含性"特点决定了表头、表文的英译应尽量简洁、确切,符合行业规范,能满足目标读者需求。本文针对图表中表头、表文的英译,结合实例进行分析,并探讨其英译策略及规律。
Charts and tables,which are clear and simple to be understood,are widely used in the process of information presentation and data analysis. To meet the requirements of＂self-evidence＂and＂self-explantoriness＂of charts and tables,the English translation of the headers and contents of tables should be concise,precise,professionally-paradigmatic,and reader-use friendly. In this paper we use rich examples to analyze the C-E translations of the headers and contents of charts and tables and discuss some relevant translation strategies of translation.
