Han Dynasty female diplomats were mostly princess married to rulers of minority groups and their attendants. In addition to being envoys, they were diplomats of the Han Dynasty, and at the same time shouldered the special mission of making contacts with the Western Regions to jointly fight against the Huns. Due to differences in language, culture and customs, the messengers often encountered difficulties and their emotional life was ignored. Handed-down documents and unearthed bamboo slips can provide scholars with some new understanding. Those female diplomats in the Han Dynasty made indelible contributions to ensuring border security and promoting the friendly exchanges between various ethnic groups.
