OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of metacentric particles combined with metoprolol in the treatment of ischemic ar- rhythmias in the elderly. METHODS: From September 2014 to November 2015 94 elderly patients with ischemic arrhythmias were col- lected. 94 patients were divided into observation group (n = 47 ) and control group (n = 47 ) in the two groups. Control group was treated by metoprolol. Observation group received control group treatment combined with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) step metacentric particles. The effect and prognosis in two groups were compared. RESULTS: After treatment in observation group the to- tal effective rate was 95.75% and in control group the total effective rate was 80. 86%. There was significant difference (P 〈0. 05). After two courses of treatment in the observation group daily occurrence of ventricular premature beat and chamber on the number of premature beat were significantly lower than those in the control group. There was statistically significant difference ( P 〈 0. 05 ). In the observation group QT interphase (QTc) improvement was significantly higher than that in the control group. There was statistically significance difference ( P 〈 0. 05 ). CONCLUSION : Metacentre grain combined with metoprolol drug treatment can significantly im- prove cardiac arrhythmias in the elderly patients with ischemie arrhythmias and reduce the adverse reactions.
