Studies on the experiment of Opithalmopsylla kukuschkini which was raised in our laboratory as a vector, biting forearms of 6 volunteers were performed. The results showed that the flea-bite rate is 20~45%, and the average flea-bite rate is 300%. None of volunteers occurred general reaction, but each of volunteers felt'a little itching and uncomfortable at the area of fleabited. The parts of flea-biting had lightly swelled and congested, sometimes may be seen small papules which are 0.6~1.0cm in diameter. The results indicate that it is possible that Ophthalmopsylla kukuschkini may spread plague to human beings. We must prevent flea-biting in everyday life.
