摘要
随着新媒体的出现,传统媒体面临着越来越大的竞争压力,本文探讨在这种形势下,科技期刊面临的挑战。从传统科技期刊的特点出发,运用定性和定量的方法,分析其面临的困境及带来的机遇。科技期刊存在发行量萎缩、广告流失、数字出版的冲击等问题,但是如果在人才建设、运用新技术、开发延伸产品等方面措施得当,科技期刊将会迎来新的发展机遇。科技期刊无需妄自菲薄,在新媒体融合的形势下,科技期刊的前途一样光明。
The emergence of new media has presented considerable challenges to traditional media. This paper discusses the challenges and opportunities that scientific journals have to meet and take, using qualitative and quantitative methods. It assumes that there exist circulation decline, advertisements loss, digital publishing impact, and other issues for scientific journals. It thus suggests that these challenges will be met if appropriate measures are taken in the areas of HR building, new technology application, products development, etc., and that scientific journals will embrace a potential opportunity in the new media convergence.
