摘要
胡适对杜威实用主义的解释对近代中国实用主义思想和教育观念的传播影响很大,然而,胡适的理解和传播无论在思想观念,还是在侧重点与倾向性上都打上了胡适自己的思想和中国时代性特征的深刻烙印,形成了一种有偏差性的"误解",这种误解的根源在于中西文明的思想内核之间存在的本质差别。对此差异性的思想探源有助于我们重新理解中西传统哲学思想之间的异质性要素,从而对建立哲学研究的话语体系具有现实的借鉴作用。
Hu Shi's interpretation of Dewey's pragmatism had a great impact upon the modern Chinese pragmatism and the propagation of Deweyan philosophy in China, but some recent research shows that Hu Shi 's explanation is questionable. This research shows that the causes behind Hu Shi 's misunderstanding of Dewey's pragmatism include the temporary elements during the age of May-Fourth movement; and moreover, Hu 's reading also reflects the fundamental difference between Chinese culture and the western philosophy. Recognizing the great and deep difference is helpful for us to establish our discourse system of Chinese philosophical research.
