摘要
作为洋务运动后期的领袖人物,张之洞力倡修路,并付诸于积极行动。在清朝末年主持或参与了多条铁路的修建,其修路的目的在于实现中国的富强,并以此贯彻于修路之始终。在此过程中,张之洞排除了许多困难,为中国铁路的建设作出了突出的贡献。并且他在铁路建设方面的经验教训,于今仍有其十分重要的借鉴意义。
Being one of the leaders of Westernization Movnient, Zhang Zhi-dong did his best to promote to build railways and put into effect. He managed and participated in building of many railways towards the end of the Qing Dynasty. He insisted that the purpose of it be to make our country more prosperous and powerful. In the course of building, he conquered various kinds of difficulties and setbacks. He contributed much on building of Chinese railways. His experiences and lessons are still helpful to us.
