摘要
作者指出，机器翻译的能行性问题至今还没有在理论上得到严格的证明，因而这项研究工作在理论上存在着实质性的困难，但这并不妨碍研制工程化的机器翻泽系统。作者提出，在机器翻译工程化的工作中，应该采用部分优化技术，处理好探索性研究与工程性研究的关系，处理好全局性研究与局部性研究的关系，加强机器翻泽的情报研究，开展产生式汉语语法的研究，促进知识更新，改善知识结构。
The author points out that the problem of feasibility of machine translation has not yet been strictly proved theoretically, and so there is the essential difficulty in this study likewise. Nevertheless, this does not interfer with the study of the ＂engineerised＂ machine translation system. The paper suggests that in the work of ＂engineerisation＂ of machine translation, the technique of partial optimisation should he adopted; and the relationships between the study of the retrieval and the engineering nature as well as between the study of the overall and the partial nature should be dealt with nicely. Strengthen the study of information on machine translation and work on the study of the production-style Chinese grammar to enhance the renovation of knowledge and improve its structure.
