LABORATORY INVESTIGATION AND FORMULATION DESIGNING OF FOAMING SYSTEMS FOR PRACTICAL SITE USE IN WELL DRILLING AND CLEANOUT

摘要 在QYTZ型泡沫流体试验装置上,在淡水、盐水、淡水+煤油、盐水+煤油介质中研究了近30种发泡剂和若干种稳泡剂。讨论了这两种药剂的加量优化。讨论了配方研究和设计中的3个测定参数:发泡体积、半衰期和出液时间。提出了两个并列方程,以描述在现场钻井和洗井配方设计中泡沫体系必须满足的条件。 On experimental device of QYTZ for foamy fluids, nearly 30 foaming agents are evaluated in four media, i.e. fresh and salt water, fresh or salt water plus kerosene. Following results are obtained: (1) F842 and F873 are superior to others in tolerency to salt, oil, calcium) (2) ES and ABS possess the strongest foaming ability in fresh water; (3) the surfactants molecules of which contain C12-C14 alkyl radical are excellent foaming agents. Foam stabilizers can be divided into two groups.The first group (CMC, CMS etc) stabilizes the foam mainly through viscosifying the foaming solution. The second group (HEC, TQ etc) increases mass and elasticity and decreases gas-permeability of the foam films.Combination of chemicals of these two groups usually results in fairly stable foam. Three basic characteristics of foaming systems, i.e. volume of the foam formed, V_F, half life-time of the foam, t_(1/2), and time of liquid appearance, t , are to be determined in laboratory investigations and in formulation designing and discussed extensively in this paper. On the basis of long-term laboratory work and practical experience, two equations relating these parameters are proposed to establish the requiments which must be met by a foaming system designed for site use. They are: v_F≥420ml and t_a+x (t_(1/2)-t,)/50≥t_c,where x_c is the volume of solution removed from the foam at circulation time, t_c.
