Microvessel count predicts metastasis and prognosis of gastric cancer

摘要 目的 探讨胃癌转移、预后与肿瘤血管生成的关系。方法 用免疫组织化学过氧化酶标记的链霉卵白素染色法 (SP法 )检测 5 9例胃癌手术标本肿瘤组织微血管密度 (MVD)。结果胃癌中MVD值为 42 .7± 2 4.8,中位值为 3 6。MVD值与淋巴结转移、脉管侵犯呈正相关 (P =0 .0 168,P =0 .0 176) ;MVD值升高 (MVD≥ 3 6)与预后不良显著相关 (P =0 .0 2 14 ) 结论 胃癌MVD的检测有助于对肿瘤转移潜能的判断及评估预后。 Objective The intratumoral microvessel count in gastric cancer was investigated to evaluate its metastatic potential.Methods The intratumoral microvessel density (MVD) was analyzed semiquantitively by immunohistochemical staining (SP) in 59 paraffin embedded gastric tumor specimens that were radically resected.Results MVD in gastric cancer was 42.7±24.8,mediam 36.The MVD was positively correlated with lymph node metastasis and vascular invasion (P= 0.016?8 and 0.017?6 ,respectively).The increased MVD revealed poor prognosis (P= 0.021?4 ).Conclusion Measurement of MVD is helpful to assess the metastasis potential and the prognosis of tumors.
