摘要
定向层(PI层)是STN-LCD盒结构的一个重要组成部分。因为简单地把液晶夹在两片玻璃基板之间,很难获得均匀的液晶分子排列,只有在基板的内壁涂上定向层并作摩擦处理后,液晶的物性常数因分子排列状态才会发生变化,液晶分子对于电场等外力的响应也会变得有序。所以,研究液晶分子的排列定向技术,在液晶显示元件构成技术上具有重要意义。
Polyimide layer is a very important part of STN - LCD cell. Because the LC molecule cannot be arranged uniform by simply put the LC into the space of two base glasses. Only after coating this polyimide layer on the base glass surface and then rubbing it, the LC physics charac ter constant takes a change for the arranging state of LC molecule. The respond of LC molecule to the outside force, for example, the electric field, will change more and more in order. So, study ing the technology of LC molecule arranged, is a necessary technique in LCD element formed.
