The development of environmental industry is of key importance to the implementation of the sustainable development strategy.The history of how China adopted the sustainable development strategy was described in this paper an analysis of Chinas environmental protection industry was also made,including their status,potentiality,the impact of Chinas accession to the WTO on them,their future development,and key ways of promoting their development,and emphasizing the need to achieve a 'win win' situation for environment and development,for trade and development,and for buyers and sellers.
