The study of synthesis of glutaraldehyde with 50% H 2O 2 as oxidant,wolframic acid as catalyst and cyclopentene as feed is presented.It would breaks the concept that the oxydation could not be carried out in a aqueous medium.The yield of glutaraldehyde was more than 59% at 40?℃ and atmospheric pressure.
