摘要
实验研究了高功率双端泵浦 Nb:YVO4 固体激光器的谐振腔与泵浦光束的模匹配问题 .实验发现了输出功率随激光在增益介质中模半径与泵浦光斑半径之比的变化规律 .在低泵浦功率ω0 /ωp<1的条件下 ,激光器输出功率随ω0 /ωp 的变化不敏感 .但在高泵浦功率下 ,输出功率随 ω0 /ωp 的减小而增加 .ω0 /ωp存在一个下限 ,无论泵浦功率的大小 ,当 ω0 /ωp 低于此下限时基横模消失 ,高阶模出现 .
Mode matching for high-power double-end-pumped Nd:YVO 4 solid-state lasers has been investigated experimentally.The results show that the output power is insensitive to the ratio of fundamental mode radius to pump spot radius(ω 0/ω p) over a large range of ω 0/ω p<1 while pump power is low ,but increases sensitively as ω 0/ω p decreases while pump power is high.Whether the pump power is high or low,fundamental mode disappears when ω 0/ω p<0.8.Understanding this is important for the cavity design of high power end-pumped solid-state lasers.
