摘要
从修辞的角度出发 ,探讨了汉语古诗中叠音词的英译方法。总体上 ,汉语古诗叠音词英译可分为三大类 :第一类是可以找到在修辞与形式上与原诗基本对等的 ;第二类是拟声叠音词的处理 ;第三类是英译对汉诗中的叠音要做一些变通。
This paper discusses the English translation of reduplicated words in Chinese ancient poems from the perspective of rhetoric. It holds that there are generally three categories of such translation. The first is a complete equivalent in English translation in both form and rhetoric effect; the second is onomatopoeia reduplicated words; the last is some changes that should be made to Chinese reduplicated words.
