摘要
介绍了工业产品造型设计的概念、特征及设计过程，说明了工业造型设计的必要性，而传统的设计方式不能充分体现设计师的设计思路，针对性地提出了计算机三维建模技术，以加工中心的造型设计为例，着重阐述了计算机建模技术用于工业产品造型设计中的优越性．
The concept,characteristic and designing process of formative design of industrial products were introduced and the necessity of industrial formative design was also explained. For designers' designing ideas cannot be fully manifested by means of traditional designing ways, accordingly, the technology of computeraided developing three-dimensional model was put forward. Advantages of using this technology in the process was expounded in particular by the sample of formative design for machining center.
