The progress in the research of SiC fibers industrialized preparation was reviewed. Three process methods for SiC fibers, namely, chemical vapor deposition (CVD), precursor pyrolysis and active carbon fiber (ACF) conversion method, were systematically reviewed from the aspects of principles, process routes and merits/demerits.It was considered that CVD method is already obsolete,precursor pyrolysis is the trend of research development and ACF method is the best way to prepare SiC fiber currently.
