摘要
成人英语教学存在着应试教育与学历教育观念根深 蒂固、教学内容与教学模式针对性差、教学手段与测试方法不能满足教育培养目标要求等问 题。结合教学实践，作者认为，改革成人英语教学、提高人才培养质量的关键在于：树立素 质教育和终身教育观念；构筑以学生为中心、总体设计与个性特征相结合的英语教学模式； 利用多媒体技术对学生实施“立体冲击”；改革传统的测试方法，注重应用能力的培养。
Adult English Teaching, like the full-time college Engl ish teaching, has been proceeding with many problems, which go as follows: the d eep rooted sense of education for examination and certificate, the discord betwe en teaching materials and adult characteristics, the conflicts between teaching approach & means and fostering direction, testing means and quality education. I n the light of adult＇s features and teaching reform probation, some viewpoints a re put forward and discussed in the article to improve adult English teaching, s uch as setting up idea of quality and lifetime education, forming new English te aching formula, combining comprehensive design and individual arrangement, imple menting 'cubic hit' upon students through advanced media, and optimizing measu ring means to improve English teaching.
