摘要
从分析地理信息系统 (GIS)、地球空间信息学 (Geomatics)和地球信息科学 (GISci)三者的产生、概念和关系出发 ,提出“3G”新概念 ,并结合对数字地球的内涵、体系、发展历史的论述 ,详细阐述了 3G与数字地球二者之间的关系。分析结果表明 ,数字地球是 3G的继承与发展 ,同时为 3G提供了广阔的发展前景 ,3G为数字地球提供了理论和技术。
Based on the analysis of the appearance, definitions and relationships of Geographic Information System (GIS) ,Geomatics and Geo-Information Science (GISci), this paper put forward a new concept of '3G'; in conjunction with the discussion of the meaning, frame and developing history of Digital Earth, the paper also expounded the relationship between 3G and Digital Earth. The analytical result proved that Digital Earth inherits 3G, and 3G provides theories and technologies for Digital Earth, while Digital Earth opens up prospects more widely for 3G.
