摘要
文章认为 ,在知识经济中 ,基础研究正面临着把传统功能与新功能相互协调成为一个比较大的网络和系统的组成部分的挑战。专注于探索客观现象和可观察的事实的基本原理的“认识取向”的基础研究 ,正在向“认识取向”与“应用取向”并重的基础研究转变 ;专注于创造新知识的“生产导向”的基础研究 ,正在向“生产导向”和“扩散导向”并重的基础研究转变。
The paper points out basic research is facing the challenge of reconciling its traditional functions with its newer role as an integral part of a larger network and system in knowledge based economies. Basic research is changing from emphasizing “cognition oriented” to paying equal attention on “cognition oriented” and “application oriented”, from emphasizing “production oriented” to paying equal attention on “production oriented” and “diffusion oriented”.
