具有突出水性精神的广州名城，其古典园林理水造景艺术别具特色。引水涌水、近水亲水、傍水临水、夹水借水、贴水围水、荡水戏水等多种设计手法，值得现代城市园林化建设继承发扬光大。
Lingnan garden is a main component of modernized cities in subtropical province of Guangdong. The art of making water scenery in Guangzhou' s Classic gardens is of unique feature. It is an active measure of optimization of urban environment to protect, revive, create more garden water scenes.
