Japanese Premna( Premna microphylla Turcz)is an important wild pectin resource in Western Hunan Tujia and Miao Nationalities Autonomous Prefecture.The biology,utilization,cultivation and processing of Japanese premna were briefly introduced,and the proposals for its exploitation in the local area were put forward.
