摘要
给出并分析了铁电介质阴极电子枪的初步数值模拟和实验结果。实验表明其发射电子密度可达 1 1 0 A/ cm2 。该种电子枪产生的电流密度大于阴极发射电子初始能量为零时的空间电荷限制电流 ,PIC数值模拟结果表明可以通过给发射电子赋予一定的初始能量来解释这一现象 ,理论分析认为铁电介质阴极发射电子具有初始能量是合理的。
The simulation and experimental r esults of electron gun with a ferroelectric material cathode by author in Cornel l university are presented in this paper. The results show that the current den sity is of order 110A/cm 2, experimentally. The current generated with the fer roelectric material cathode exceeds space charge limited current. It is consider ed that this is caused by the electric field enhancement adjacent to the cathode surface, due to the introduction of trigger pulse, FE effect, and grid structur e etc. Enhanced electric field will accelerate electrons to some energy in the d istrict near cathode surface. According to this, the electron gun with ferroelec tric material cathode can be reasonably simulated and designed by assigning inje cting electrons from cathode with an effective initial energy.
