摘要
从《西洋新法历书》中辑录出明末历争中的日月交食记录 ,并对其进行现代时制换算和精度分析 ,从而考察西法和大统历在明末的交食预报精度以及当时的观测精度 ,指出西法在明末历争中预报交食并非如其所说的“密合” 。
This paper collects from the Xiyang Xinfa Lishu(New Computus According to Western Method)the records of the eclipse predictions and observations made during the calendar debating towards the end of the Ming dynasty,reduces them into modem units and analyses their accuracy.On this basis,the paper discusses the accuracy of Western method and the Datong Computus in eclipse predictions and the accuracy of eclipse observations at the time in question,and comes to the conclusion that the Xiyang Xinfa Lishu is not “accurate to the minute” in predictive calculations as some advocators of Westem astronomy claimed,but has apparent errors in some cases.
