The title complex (Mr= 1442.6) crystallizes in the monoclinic, space group PC, with a =14.515(7),b =15.773(5), c =16.287(11)51,β=95.13(5)°,Z=2,V=3713.8A3,Dc=1.29 g·cm-3. The structure was solved by Patterson method and the final R=0.068. The potassium atom in the cation lies between the two planes of the oxygen atoms from two benzo-15-crown-5 molecules.
