The level of nitric oxide and its synthetase were measured in senile cataractous and normal lenses by chemical chromatometry.The results showed that the level of nitric oxide and its synthetase on senile cataractous were raised obviously.The significance of these changes was discussed.It was suggested that the hyconcentration nitric oxide and its synthetase could produce more powerful oxidatiion damage on lens.
