摘要
为适应多元文化教育的需求,大学英语教师应该对自己的知识结构进行必要的补充和调整。除了专业知识、跨学科知识和人文基础知识外,大学英语教师还需掌握教育人类学知识、跨文化交际学知识、中国历史文化知识和英语教学方法知识,实现从一元化的专业知识向多元化的复合知识转变。
ohn A. Banks upholds that a teacher with multicultural educational background should have four knowledge bases, main paradigms of multicultural education, major concepts of multicultural education, knowledge of the history and culture of the dominating ethnic groups and the relevant pedagogical knowledge. Based on these four knowledge bases, this article proposes that college English teachers should have a knowledge fusion of anthropology of education, intercultural communication, Chinese history and culture as well as pedagogy of English teaching.
