摘要
Lacey等利用功能磁共振成像技术对纹理隐喻理解进行了实验研究,发现大脑在处理较为熟悉的纹理隐喻时不仅能够激活负责处理语言的区域,而且还能够激活专门负责触觉信息处理的区域,这不仅进一步验证了概念隐喻理论关于隐喻形成的体验基础,而且还表明在纹理隐喻理解过程中触觉信息依然起着重要的作用。该实验不仅在隐喻神经研究方法上有所创新,而且实验结果对于其他类型的隐喻研究以及隐喻表达语的理解与学习都会起到积极的促进作用。
Lacey et al. conducted an experiment concerning textural metaphor understanding by means of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and found that familiar textural metaphors can activate not only the cortical area in charge of language processing, but also the cortical area specifically in charge of haptic information. This experiment further verifies the embodiment basis in the formation of metaphor, and more importantly highlights the role of haptic information in textural metaphor understanding. This experiment employed innovative research methodologies with its impressive results that would shed much light on the research of other types of metaphor, and the understanding and learning of metaphorical expressions.
