摘要
美国的专利制度自成立以来进行了不断的创新和调整，与世界主流专利体系相比有独特之处。为适应本国专利制度的特点，美国专利商标局（USPTO）将专利数据库分为申请公开数据库和核准公告数据库，并为两个数据库制定了多个版本的DTD（文件类型定义），各版DTD所包含的著录项目元素不尽相同。文章首先介绍了美国专利制度的特点，以及在相应专利制度的影响下，USPTO两个主要专利数据库的DTD历史沿革，最后分析了申请公开数据和核准公告数据各版DTD著录项目元素变化。
U.S. patent system has conducted constant innovations and adjustments since its establishment. And it has unique features compared with the mainstream patent system of the world. To adapt to the characteristics of the national patent system, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office （USPTO） divides the patent database into application publication database and grant publication database. USPTO has developed multiple versions of DTD （Document Type Definition）, and the bibliographic elements of each version of the DTD are different. This paper first describes the U.S. patent system characteristics, and then discusses the DTD history of the two major databases of USPTO under the influence of the patent system, and at last analyzes the DTD bibliographic elements.
