Objective To investigate the brain function characteristics of resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) in patients with non-fluent aphasia after ischemic stroke. Methods Seventeen patients with non-fluent aphasia after ischemic stroke and 19 age-,sex-,and education-matched normal healthy subjects were examined with resting-state fMRI.The regional homogeneity (ReHo) analysis was used to calculate the ReHo of resting state in brain regions. Results Compared to the control group, the ReHo values of left superior frontal gyrus, right inferior frontal gyrus, right insular, and supramarginal gyrus increased in the aphasia group; the ReHo values of right cerebellar hemisphere, left superior temporal gyrus, left middle temporal gyrus, and right inferior temporal gyrus decreased.Conelusions In the resting state, the patients with non-fluent aphasia have ReHo anomalies in multiple brain regions.Such abnormal changes may be associated with the compensatory role of repairing after functional damage.
