Determination of Trace Tantalum in Rare Earth Metals by X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry

摘要 本法用苯砷酸作沉淀剂,Zr作载体,在盐酸介质中共沉淀Ta,经抽滤制样将沉淀均匀地分布在滤纸片上,达到与稀土金属完全分离。滤纸片薄样经烘干后,用载体元素Zr作内标进行X射线荧光光谱法测定。方法快速、准确,含Ta量0.02%时,相对标准误差为0.027%,测定下限为0.00075%。 The trace tantalum in rare earths is coprecipitated by phenylarsonic acid by using zirconium as the carrier. The precipitate is then filtered and well-distributed on a filter paper. After drying, X-ray measurements are made directly on the precipitate. Optimum conditions of preparation of samples were discussed. The results obtained for Ta in the test samples compare favourably with those by malachite green spectrophotometric method. The standard deviation for Ta is 0. 02%. The limit of detection of Ta is 0.00075%.
