摘要
在霍夫斯泰德的文化维度理论基础上,以2001—2010年外商对华直接投资数据为样本,从投资国的文化维度、投资国与中国文化差异的角度实证检验了投资国文化对外商直接投资的影响。结果表明,投资国的高权力距离和不确定性规避维度显著阻碍了外商对华直接投资,而个人主义和男性化维度却推动了外商对华直接投资。引入文化差异复合指数重新估计方程发现,文化差异显著抑制了外商对华直接投资,投资国与中国的文化差异越大,其对华直接投资规模就越小。进一步考察文化差异对FDI的动态影响发现,随着时间推移和企业开拓国际市场经验积累,文化差异对FDI的抑制作用呈递减的趋势。
A lot of international business literatures have proved that national culture puts significant effect on FDI. From the perspective of source country of FDI, the paper discusses the relationship between cultural dimen- sions, cultural difference and the inflow of FDI in China based on Hofstede＇s seminal cultural dimensions theory The result shows that power distance and uncertainty of avoidance dimensions have negative effect on the inflow of FDI, while individualism tween source country of FDI and masculinity and China has dimensions exhibit positive effect. However, cultural difference be- a significant negative effect on inflow of FDI. That is to say, the greater the cultural difference, the less inflow of FDI into China. We further examine the dynamic impact of cul- tural difference on FDI and find that the negative effect of cultural difference on FDI gradually weakened with the accumulation of international experience of FDI as time goes by,
