本文描述了斯氏线虫属一新种:尖尾斯氏线虫,并根据形态特征与属内的已知种进行了比较。
A. new species of Steinernema is described, the holotype, allotypc and some of the paratype are kept in south China Agricultural University. Some of the paratype are kept in Guangzhou Teachers College.
Steinernema caudatum. sp. nov.(Fig.l)
The length of the infective stage juveniles is 1106um. Similar to ,S. glaseri steiner and S. anomali Kozodoi in length, but can be easily differentiated by. The tail of the infective stage juveniles is straight and taper pointed, measuring 88um in length; the tail of the first generation female has a terminal knob which ends in one or two protrusion; the lip of the spicule is blunt, but not hooked or swollen-the lamina of the spicule has two ridges, the ventral ridge reflected at the tip, the dorsal ridge become very slender or disappear slightly before the tip; the tail of the second generation male possess a short protrusion, giving a pointed appearance.
