摘要
20世纪30年代初,世界白银价格大幅下跌,美国白银集团损失惨重。白银集团为了提升白银价格以及提高美国白银工业地位,极力推行其制定的白银策略。在白银集团的施压下,美国政府出台了一系列购银政策,致使白银策略于1934年成功推行。白银策略实施后对世界经济造成的巨大影响是引起国际银价骤涨,对国际关系造成的最大的影响是引发中国发生严重的白银货币危机。
The world silver price continued to fall in the early 1930s, which made a major blow to the American Silver Group. In order to expand the amount of silver sale, as well as to improve silver price, the United States Silver Group had for- mulated strategies that trumpeted the fact that the tumble of silver price cut Chinese purchasing power of its silver currency, which severely limited the development of international trade, therefore increased the effects of the global economic crisis. Un- der the influence of silver strategy of Silver Group, the United States government implemented a series of silver purchase poli- cies, resulting in international silver price soaring. Consequently, massive outflow of Chinese domestic silver occurred, silver monetary credit of it crunched, and interest rate and exchange rate of it rose, and as a result, Chinese foreign trade plummeted, and huge international deficit of balance of payments occurred. China＇ s economy fell into a difficult predicament because of the silver strategy of Silver Group.
