Terpenes and alkaloids from plants are important insecticidal active substances. Their insecticidal activity and mechanisms of action against a vari- ety of pests are diverse. The modes and mechanisms of action of insecticidal ter- penes and alkaloids were described. The results provided basis for mastering their characteristic systemly.
