Relationship between expression of vascular endothelial growth factor A and microvessel density and clinicopathologi cal characteristics in epithelial ovarian carcinoma

摘要 目的探讨卵巢癌组织中血管内皮生长因子A(VEGF-A)与卵巢癌微血管密度(MVD)及临床病理参数的关系。方法采用免疫组织化学的方法检测VEGF-A在卵巢癌中的表达。用CD34标记血管,人工计数MVD,分析VEGF-A与MVD及淋巴结转移、腹膜转移、卵巢癌组织学类型、临床分期、腹腔积液癌细胞阳性检出率、年龄的关系。结果在卵巢癌组织中VEGF-A蛋白表达阳性组的MVD显著高于VEGF-A蛋白表达阴性组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05),且VEGF-A与临床分期、腹腔积液癌细胞阳性检出率、淋巴结转移、腹膜转移呈正相关(P<0.05),与年龄及组织学类型无关(P>0.05)。结论检测VEGF-A有助于了解卵巢癌的生物学行为,提供卵巢癌的预后信息。 Objective To investigate the relationship between expression of vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A) and microvessel density (MVD) and clinicopathological characteristics in epithelial ovarian carcinoma. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to investigate the expression of VEGF-A in ovarian carcinoma. The expression of CD34 proteins in epithelial ovarian carcinoma is used to detect microvessel. MVD was counted by manual counting. The relationship between expression of vascular endothelial growth factor A and MVD and clinicopathological characteristics was analyzed. Results MVD was significantly higher in the group of VEGF-A positive expression than that in the group of VEGF-A negative expression. VEGF-A was positively relevant to clinic staging, positive ascitic cytology, lymph node metastasis and peritoneal metastasis (P^0. 05). Conclusion Detecting VEGF-A could help understand the biological behavior of epithelial ovarian carcinoma and provide its prognostic information.
