摘要
作为19世纪德国浪漫主义文学艺术和音乐文化中最重要的理论家和实践家,瓦格纳的"音乐戏剧"理论却建立在以古希腊悲剧为模板的古典精神之上。"古典"和"浪漫"成为瓦格纳的艺术观中看似二元对立、实则水乳交融的基本范畴。如何在特定的历史语境中理解这对范畴及其相互关系,并探讨瓦格纳的二元性音乐戏剧观赖以产生的社会文化土壤,进而阐释其在19世纪晚期的德国文艺思想中成为主流的必然性原因,是文章的主旨所在。
Although Wagner is considered one of the most important theorist and practitioner of Germany romantic literature and music art in the 19th century, his theory of "music drama" has been established on classical values, derived from ancient Greek tragedy Therefore, classical and romantic are conceived as categories in Wagner' s theory. The theoretical formulation was superficially paradoxical, albeit intertwined. This paper discusses a way of understanding the relationship between classical and romantic categories, taking into consideration historical context as well as social and cultural background of Wagner' s classical - romantic "music drama" theory. The article then further provides an explanation of how the classical - romantic theory have been mainstreamed in the Germanic cul- tural and artistic ideology in the late 19th century.
