摘要
安德鲁·卡内基的《财富的福音》被认为是奠定美国现代公益事业思想理论的经典之作。书中他反对"滥施布施",认为泛泛地施舍救济既不能改良个人、也不能改良人类,富人应该慎重选择捐助领域和捐助对象,提出捐助的最佳领域之一就是创造和资助大学。从而通过阅读深入思考教育为什么是慈善事业捐赠的最佳领域、卡内基一生对教育事业做出了哪些贡献、美国慈善事业捐赠教育的现状如何等问题。
＂The gospel of wealth＂ of Andrew Carnegie is considered to be the classic work for modern public welfare establishments＇ theory of America. Andrew Carnegie opposed the ＂indiscriminate giving, alms giving＂ in the book, he thinks that broadly charity neither improved person nor improved the human, the rich should carefully choose donation field and donation object, and put forward one of the best field contributions is to create and support of the university. Thus, the article analyzed the following problems by reading and deeply thinking： why the education is the best field for the philanthropy, Carnegie＇s lifetime to the contribution of education business, the education situation that donated by philanthropy in American.
