摘要
工程应用领域的数据库所表示的信息通常是很复杂的,用常规的一个记录或同类记录组的方式难以存储这类数据。工程数据库管理系统一个不同的特性是要处理复杂对象。本文讨论了一个而向复杂对象的数据存储管理系统(COMMS)的研制情况:叙述了表达复杂对象的数据模式和在物理存储器上实现的存储组织,以及分组集束复杂对象记录的方法;最后,对整个系统及有关复杂对象操作的性能作了初步分析和评价。
Information to be represented for engineering application is usually too complex to be stored in single record or in homogeneous set of records.One of the differentiating characteristics of engineering database system(EDBS)is the need to handle complex object.In this paper,a research of the Complex-Object-Oriented Memory Ma nagement System(COMMS)is discussed,the data model representing the complex object and physical organization in the storage device are described,and the methods of clustering the complex object is introduced.Finally we provide an preliminary analysis and evalua- tion of the characteristics of the COMMS system and the performance of operations on the complex objects.
