摘要
中英文中大量习语都用动物作喻体。英汉两种文化由于地理环境、历史背景、宗教信仰、风俗习惯等方面的不同,对各具特色的动物所承载的涵义和喻义具有相关性和相异性。本文从翻译技巧的角度,通过对动物习语的比较,灵活处理习语中的文化因素,真正译出习语的特色。
In both Chinese and English plenty of idioms are, involved with animal words. Due to different national backgrounds, English and Chinese may have their own special cultural meanings to certain same animal. Therefore, English and Chinese have their equivalents and non - equivalents in the cultural meanings of the animal idioms.This paper gives a comparison of cultural connotations between Chinese and English animal idioms,from the perspective of techniques of translation,to flexibly deal with the cultural factors in idioms in order to translate the features of idioms.
