纹理分析车牌定位方法的研究现状及展望

摘要 作为智能交通系统的核心技术之一,基于机器视觉的车牌识别一直受到广泛的关注。车牌定位是车牌识别的重要步骤,其目的是确定车牌在图像中的坐标位置,从而剔除大部分的噪声区域,仅保留包含车牌的子区域。目前,纹理分析是车牌定位最基本也是最重要的手段。该文首先介绍了纹理分析车牌定位方法的研究成果,然后总结这些方法的不足,展望了下一步的研究方向。 License plate recognition based on machine vision, one of the key technologies of intelligent transportation system, has been paid much attention to.License plate location plays an important role in license plate recognition and its aim is to find out coordinates of license plate in an image so as to reduce noise and attain a sub-region that contains license plate.Presently, texture analysis is not only the fundamental but the most important approach to license plate location.After introducing research achievements of texture-based license plate location methods, we analyze their shortages and look into the development trends of texture-based license plate location in this paper.
