摘要
作为人类的基本认知机制,隐喻和转喻现象不仅存在于语言模态中,还存在于图像、声音和动作等模态中。本文认为概念隐喻和转喻之间存在着复杂的相互作用,这种相互作用是构成多模态语篇衔接与连贯的机制。本文以专题片《中国国家形象片·角度篇》为例,探讨该多模态语篇如何在这两个认知机制的基础上充分运用各种模态,达到语篇的衔接与连贯。在此分析的基础上,本文也对该多模态语篇进行了整体评价。
As two basic cognitive mechanisms of human being,metaphor and metonymy not only exist in the modes of language,but also in the mode of images,sounds,gestures and so on.The present paper proposes that between them there are complicated interactions.They are actually the mechanism for multimodal discourses to achieve their textual cohesion and coherence.Taking the documentary China's National Image Promotion: Perspectives as an example,this paper discusses how this typical multimodal discourse utilizes all kinds of modes on the basis of the two cognitive mechanisms and achieve its textual cohesion and coherence.Based on this analysis,a comprehensive evaluation of the documentary is made from the perspective of cross-cultural communication.
