基于标校球的瞬态极化雷达校准方法 被引量:4

摘要 理论上瞬态极化雷达可获取动态目标全极化散射特性的精确测量信息,但由于存在极化通道不一致、极化隔离度有限以及背景杂波等非理想因素,其极化测量存在误差,必须进行校准。当前极化校准需要多个定标体,且定标体姿态摆放误差将引起校准偏差。针对上述问题,提出了一种基于标校球的瞬态极化雷达校准新方法,在考虑双天线空域极化特性的基础上,仅需单个金属球即可完成定标,提高了校准精度。该方法为解决制约瞬态极化雷达实际应用的校准难题提供了技术支撑。 Instantaneous polarimetric radar(IPR) can obtain the accurate full-polarization scattering in formation of dynamic target in theory. In practice, the measurement is contaminated by the nonideal factors such as polarimetric channel imbalance, polarimetric isolation limitation, and background clutter. The meas- urement error can only be eliminated by calibration. Usually multiple calibrators are needed in calibration. The current calibration method are very strict with the posing accuracy of the calibrators, which may cause the calibration error. To resolve these problems, a new calibration method for IPR based on metal sphere is brought forward in this paper. Considering the special polarimetric characteristics of two antennas, the cali- bration is achieved using a single metal sphere. The calibration accuracy is improved. This calibration method provides a useful technique reference for resolving the IPR calibration problems in practice.
