摘要本文简要介绍了在线免费语料库The Compleat Lexical Tutor的主要构成及功能,通过具体实例阐述了学习者如何通过数据驱动式学习,根据词汇使用的不同语境,自主辨析词义的细微差异、词汇搭配结构差异、口语与书面语词汇的使用词频差异、词汇的语用功能差异以及辨认"新词"结构。通过语境共现词条,强化学习者"注意",加强词汇的有效记忆与应用。此外,本文还运用该语料库中语篇词汇描述功能,对两篇学生作文用词做出量化分析,评估词汇水平,这对于如何改进词汇学习与写作起到重要的反馈作用。 The paper briefly introduces the content and functions of the online corpora ＂The Compleat Lexical Tutor＂. Students are encouraged to use Data-driven Learning Approach to explore the subtle differences of synonyms and collocations, the different frequencies of the words in spoken and written English corpora, the different pragmatic functions of the words and identify some new words as well. This approach can effectively enhance students＇ noticing and memorization of the words. Besides, the Vocabprofile is used to measure lexical proficiency in two students＇ compositions which determines the difficulty of the texts to a larger content and provides effective feedback to vocabulary learning and writing.
