摘要
看与被看从来都不是一个均衡相向的关系,其间弥漫着权力的话语。在两性不平等的社会,男性观看和女性被观看也是一个形塑社会性别关系的过程。本文通过对金陵大学的男生与金陵女大的女生之间看与被看的故事,揭示在由男性定义的现代话语下,那些追求人格独立的女生是如何被他者化、非正常化的。作者指出中国知识女性在现代化过程中遭遇的挑战不仅来自传统的规范,同样还遭受现代性的压抑。
It is never a balanced relationship between staring and stared at but is a discourse filled with power and resistance. In a society founded on gender inequalities, man＇s staring and woman＇s stared at form part of the formation of gender relationships. This paper ex-amines stories of male student at the Jinling University who stared and female students at the Jinling Women＇s College who were stared at to reveal the act of denormalization of those women who sought independence and were regarded as abnormal under the ideology of modernity defined by men. The paper points out that intellectual women have faced challenges from traditional rule and norms but also from impacts of modernization.
